When a shop becomes famous, what will the attitude of the staff become? Rude? Impolite? How about the food? Becoming expensive? With smaller amount? These things do not happen in this renowned restaurant called “Law Fu Kee”.

Law Fu Kee does not only sell food such as noodles, congee and soya milk. They also sell “human warmth”.

A lady said one time she forgot to bring the wallet after having a meal in Law Fu Kee. She then told the staff that she needed to go to ATM to withdraw some money to pay for the meal. She also decieded to leave her ID card there so that the staff could have some “gage”.

However, the staff refused to take her ID card, and said “It’s OK for you to go and withdraw the money! I am afraid of losing your ID card!”

Although it is just a simple story, it shows the trust between human beings. If there is always trust between people in Hong Kong, I believe that this “Pearl of the East” will shine brighter over and over.
